My name is Amber and I am a new member. I am 23 years old and currently going to college to get an associates degree in Early Education. When I do graduate, I will be able to teach at daycare centers .
I am a bi-sexual Christian who isn't religious, but is more...spiritual and goes by faith...rather than rules/regulations made by man. I have experienced hate most of my life...some of it due to my sexuality. I felt like God wanted me to make this blog called Living-LGBT: A Journey of Faith. I have to keep faith that God accepts me as is and loves me for me. I want others to feel the same way. I also want to show that not all Christians are...full of themselves or hateful. In fact, I can't even go to church because of who I am. I have God by my side, but there are times when I still feel alone in the world because I am so unique.
The goal of my blog is to basically show God loves and accepts all. I want to address issues like: What does God say about homosexuality? Who is God? What is his character?
I need your help. I really don't know how to start off my blog and I am feeling a big discouraged. I need support more than ever. I keep getting thoughts in my head that it is a stupid idea or I am not qualified, but I know those are lies.
So what would you like to see the on the blog? Let me know here or on my twitter: twitter.com/LivingLGBTx
Thanks so much.

Amber, 1.) Welcome to the forums! I am glad you decided to join! You will find that you can discuss pretty much ANYTHING here. We are very judgment free, and we love when people from all walks of life come together to help others! So I am personally very glad you are here! 2.) It is awesome to see someone who can still be a beliver in God and be bi-sexual. I was raised from a very young age that being gay was a sin, that God would hate me, and so forth... So in a way it had pushed me farther way than the good it did. I LOVE the goal of your blog! I think it would be awesome to feature things in the blog such as "How God views homosexuality" or things like that. Things that the world has taken out of context to make people think that God really does hate the gays. Starting a blog can be really difficult. I know I tried to do one on the company website, and I really could not figure out where to even start. Try reading over THIS it might be helpful! Feel free to post your blog entries here before actually posting them to your blog. Like the day before you want it live on your blog, post it here so we have a chance to read it, and provide feadback before it goes live! I look forward to watching your blog progress, and watching you follow your dreams! Let me know if there is ever anything we can do to help! ~Matt

I know what you mean and how you feel about being told God would hate me, etc. I almost became an Atheist due to it, when I was a teenager. Thanks so much for that link. I am going to look at it now. I can post my blog entries here? Wow! That is neat. I am a bit nervous on doing that, but it is worth a shot! x

Hejsa Amber. Welcome to the forums this is a truly wonderful place. I'm too both Bi and Christian. Though I haven't come out yet, I know that my church will accept me because they actually believe that god have made us who we are. In Denmark, where I live, gay church marriages are a thing, last year there were made a law that said that everyone may be married in a church and the priest can not say no (this only counts in the public churches). Before this law was made my church (not public) wrote about gay marriage in their news letter and it said that the church were pro equal marriage and that you could get married in the church no matter what sex your partner has I hope this might get you some inspiration and you are welcome to contact me if you have any questions or just want to talk. Good luck Oh and may I just say that you look beautiful - Regitze

Hey Amber,
I love your name by the way. I love that you have a blog about your experience. I too am a christian and I haven't gone through your situation I just stopped going to church all together and took voyage on understanding God for myself. I do miss the time with fellow worshipers and being able to connect on what God has done for us and etc. Do you struggle with this too? I would love to hear your views especially on sexuality and the Church.
- Amber ( haha which is my name also!!)

Hi Amber (and others in the thread)
As a gay man who is a committed Christian, and active church member, I am very conscious of others like me who struggle without support from local churches - something I have been familiar with for much of my life. My partner and I are fortunate that I now attend a small church which is very accepting, and enabled us to celebrate a Blessing of our relationship earlier this year, which we felt completed what was missing in our existing Civil Partnership - ie brought God into the equation! I've recently set up a Forum to offer support and encouragement to those who find difficulty reconciling their faith and their sexuality - or who are surrounded by other people who question this. I'd be delighted to see any of you there to discuss any particular issues on your mind.
All the very best
Anthony
