Hi Everyone!
I'm the newbie in the forum.
I am a 22 year old bi, gender non-conforming (female to make life easier), I am studying nursing going into my second year next year. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE LGBTIA community and do my best to represent where ever I can! I Am chair at the LGBTIA society at my university, very proud of that achievement but let me not boast! I am here to learn more and interact and get some advice! I am always open to learning new things and helping others where i can. My motto is be the change you want to see!
I wrote a piece in the advice section called I feel like I am drowning. I am from South Africa so please mind my spelling it is a bit different to everyone else's!
I'm keen to make new friends and I am sorry if I seem a tad cocky I have self esteem issues and was told that I should put my positive qualities first! I am very loving and sometimes to empathetic! I love people but sometimes hate them too!
My grammar really sucks but when I blog I don't particularly care.
I came out as Bi at the age of 19. My parents were very accepting, well my dad was as he had a lesbian sister. My mom thought it was a phase! She has sort of come to grips with it now as I speak about the LGBTIA community and explain different thing I learnt or know to them. I was bible bashed a lot and as a result I first broke down a bit but now I'm stronger than ever and I want to be the voice for those who can't speak and help others when they feel completely worthless like I did! I was lucky as I had family, friend and a gf, (ex now ) who helped me through it all! I know many are not as lucky! The haters and bible bashing gave me the boost I needed to take control of my life, concur fears and stand in front of people and speak and teach and share love and just be who I am and not be ashamed!
Thats some of my back story and I hope to share more soon!
Regards
Celeste'
