Hi folks,
I'm a gay-identified doctoral student at Loyola University Chicago's Counseling Psychology program, and I'm currently recruiting LGB-identified participants for an IRB-approved online study examining identity and wellness of sexual minorities in the US. The survey may be accessed at surveys.luc.edu/opinio6/s?s=62603. In addition to contributing to psychological research that caters to the unique needs of the LGB population, all participants will receive an entry into a lottery for a $25 Amazon gift card. Below is the "official" blurb for participant recruitment that was approved by my university. The survey is rather quick - the blurb states it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, but most people finish within 15-20 minutes. All of your responses will remain confidential. If you have the time, I would greatly appreciate your participation!
Furthermore, should you have any questions about either participating or the study itself, I would be more than happy to chat via private message.

Hello,
I am a first year Counseling Psychology Ph.D. student at Loyola University Chicago. I am currently recruiting participants for a study examining sexual orientation identity and wellness among lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults, and would like to extend an invitation to anyone who meets the criteria. I am looking for participants who:
1. Are a US citizen, age 18 and up; and
2. Identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual (LGB)
·Note: You may prefer to use labels other than ‘lesbian, gay, and bisexual’ to describe your sexual orientation (e.g., ‘queer,’ ‘pansexual’). We use the term LGB in this survey as a convenience, and we ask for your understanding if the term does not completely capture your sexual identity.
If you agree to participate, you will be asked questions about your experiences as an LGB-identified person, recent depression and anxiety symptoms, and your general outlook on life. If you indicate you are presently involved in an intimate relationship, you will also be asked questions about your current relationship. You may choose not to answer some questions, and you may also choose to stop participating at any time once you have begun. Your responses will not be linked to identifying information such as your IP address. At the conclusion of the study, you will have the option of opting-in to a follow-up study that will be conducted twelve months after completing this study. If you opt-in to the follow-up study, your email address will be retained in a password-protected document so that you may be contacted in twelve months, at which point your email address will be deleted.
Completing this study and the follow-up study should take no more than 30 minutes each, and you will be entered into a raffle to win a $25 Amazon gift card for each study you complete.
If you meet the above criteria and are interested in participating in my study, the survey may be accessed at surveys.luc.edu/opinio6/s?s=62603
Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions at atatum1@luc.edu.
This study has been approved by the Loyola University Chicago Institutional Review Board (Application #2755).
