Hi everyone! My name is Bill. I live in Ferndale, Michigan, with my partner (soon to be husband, God willing) of 15 years Larry, and I will be 57 next month. A bit about me: I was co-founder of the world's first LGBT-affirming Apostolic Pentecostal denomination in 1980, which has now grown into a world-wide movement. I authored a number of books, including "Gay and Christian? Yes!" which examines scripture in the original languages to demonstrate that the Bible did not originally condemn homosexuality, and that same-sex marriage existed and was accepted in Bible times. It's available at Lulu.com, as are my other books. (Including fantasy novel "Inside.") I maintain a website, Hope Remains, that covers much of the same material as the above-mentioned book. Spanish and Russian versions of the website are also online. One additional website is called Light For Uganda, designed to offer factual information to combat homophobia in that country. I'm technically retired from active ministry as well as secular employment, having been diagnosed some years back with younger onset Alzheimer's disease. I still carry on a good conversation (in more than one language, including writing biblical Hebrew and Greek), and my sense of humor is as warped as ever. But don't ask me what day it is, or date, or to do simple arithmetic. I love community theater, music, and am active in Al-Anon and as an Alateen sponsor.
