So, I am new here. And I am a 13 year old girl. I am wondering what my sexual orientation is. I fantasize about girls, have crushes in girls, blush around girls and butterflies are in my stomach when I touch a girl or they smile at me. I am a tomboy and not interested in boys despite hanging around girls. Is it a phase, HOCD(don't know if I spelt right) or am I really lesbian? I know I am too young, but it is killing me! Please help me.

What you are going through is not necessarily a "phase." What you are going through is simply you trying to figure out who you are. You are young, and you are still developing who you are as a person. I know when I was coming to terms with my sexual orientation I had the same feelings as you, only towards guys. Given what you have told us I would say there is a high chance that you identify as a lesbian. You may be young, but around 13-16 is when people really learn how they are going to identify. I hope this helps a little. Let me know if there is ever anything we can do to help. ~Matt

Thank you, Matt for the reply. I have another question: Was my dad supporting me? I told my family about how I think I am lesbian and my dad made me feel embarrassed. I called an actress "cute" as in attractive and then my dad said, "yes, she is cute." Was he trying to support me? Because I felt like a straight boy when he said that.

Not knowing your dad, I can not say for sure. However, I think that is a pretty good reaction from your father. I know if I were around my mother and I said a guy was cute, she would probably slap me senseless... and she knows I am gay. I do not personally think your father was trying to embarrass you. I don't think he was overly worried about it. The fact he didn't say anything negative is a good sign. I think he was being supportive in his own way. ~Matt
