Hi, im Julie and im 14 years old, and im from Denmark. Lately ive been questioning my sexuality alot. Ive had crushes on girls and guys, and sexual attractions to both. But i cant imagine myself in a relationship with a girl, but im not sure i can imagine myself with a guy as well. Maybe im just afraid admitting that im bi because i dont know how my friends are gonna react, and if im ever gonna get invited to a sleepover or something like that again. And im only 14, am i to young to know something like this, or can i know this young? And what if im bi, do i need to come out? And is there somewhere i can chat with someone about this?

Hejsa Julie It's lovely to find a fellow Dane in here Sorry about the late reply but better late than never. I've gone through sorta the same thing you're going trough now and let me just tell you that it gets better and easier. No 14 isn't too young to get to know your sexuality, some people figures it earlier some people later in life and it's all perfectly fine. My advise to you is done worry about labels, they can come later. You're young and right now you don't need to put yourself into any boxes just follow your heart and experiment. It's perfectly fine not being able to see yourself in a relationship with anyone right now, I for example didn't start until I was 16 and some of my friends at 19 still don't see themselves in relationships yet. We're lucky to live in a place like Denmark, where homophobia isn't that big as in some other countries. That doesn't mean there aren't any. You don't have to come out to your friends before you feel ready to do so but if they really are your friends they won't care if you like girls too. What you can do, if you wanna find out what they think of lgbt, is to casually bring it up during conversation. Like asking them what they think about that lgbt people can finally get married in all of USA. I hope this helped a little bit, you're more than welcome to contact me if you have any questions or just need someone to talk to. If you message me in private we can do it in Danish too if you prefer. -Regitze
