Hello! My name is Sara and I'm a big supporter of the LGBQT community. I'm probably older than you (I was born in the '60s). I grew up and currently live around lots of homophobia, racism, discrimination and bigotry. Especially from my family and friends. It's HORRIBLE!!! But, I refuse to be influenced by those around me. I voice MY opinions on the subject all the time and educate my children on equality and human rights. I'm known as "the liberal".... a terrible thing in these parts, lol. I don't care what people think. Eqaul rights should be the norm...not a dream for the future.
I hate today. I'm screaming for you. I'm crying for you. Please, please, please don't let the presidential election dishearten you. You have lots of love and support. It may be hard to find but it's there. My role models have always been people who've fought for the civil rights for our future generation. My generation is counting on your generation to continue the fight. Don't give up! The road to equality may have bumps but WILL continue. We need you. We love you.
