I'm married (same gender), and I'm in an At-Will state. My company doesn't have an employee handbook, and there are only about 30 employees there. There is no formal HR department - all HR issues go through our accountant, who happens to be my boss.
So, my wife and I are trying to cut expenses, and we're looking into using the Affordable Health Exchange for her medical insurance. So here's the problem - I don't know if my employer offers same-sex spouse benefits, so I don't know how to fill out the questionaire. And I'm afraid to ask, because this is an at-will state. Any advice?
